Floral FAQ + Policies

At The Farmer’s Daughter, every order is important to us because we know how important it is to you. Flowers aren’t just pretty—they carry meaning, memories, and love. That’s why we take extra care in designing, wrapping, and delivering every arrangement.

We’ll always do our best to give you beautiful blooms and great service, and if something ever feels off, we want to hear from you so we can make it right.

Our Guarantee

Flowers are natural, perishable, and always a little unique—just like the people we make them for. No two arrangements are ever exactly the same, but our promise is this: your flowers will be fresh, beautiful, and created with heart. If you’re not completely happy with your order, please contact us right away and we’ll take quick action to fix it.


Delivery Policy

  • Timing: We try our very best to honor delivery requests, but exact times can’t always be guaranteed (especially around holidays). Want them delivered at a certain time? Add a note in the Special Instructions box at checkout—we’ll do our best!
  • If No One is Home: Depending on the delivery location, our driver may leave the flowers in a safe spot (like with a neighbor or on a covered porch) or leave a note with instructions to reschedule.
  • Recipient Contact: Sometimes we’ll call ahead to make sure someone is home to receive the flowers.
  • At the Door: If you request for us to leave flowers outside, please know you’re taking on that responsibility—we can’t be held liable if weather, critters, or porch pirates interfere.


Special Deliveries

  • Funerals: Funeral orders usually need extra lead time, especially if they must arrive before a service. The earlier we know, the better we can serve you. For weekend services, please give us a call directly.
  • Hospitals: We’re experienced in hospital deliveries, but please include the hospital name, phone number, and recipient’s room number when ordering. Heads up: some ICUs don’t allow flowers, so it’s a good idea to check before placing your order.


Substitution Policy

Because flowers are seasonal and availability can change week to week, substitutions may sometimes be necessary. We promise to always keep the same overall look and feel—style, size, and color—of what you ordered.

  • Fresh Flowers: Substituted with equal or greater value blooms.
  • Plants: If a certain plant isn’t available, we’ll choose a similar one of equal or greater value..
  • Special Occasions: For important dates like funerals, birthdays, and anniversaries, we’ll prioritize on-time delivery—even if it means making thoughtful substitutions.


Cancellations

Plans change—we get it. You can cancel your order anytime before it’s out for delivery. Once it’s on its way or already delivered, we can’t cancel. For fastest service, give us a call to cancel.


A Few Extras

  • Taxes: Sales tax is applied based on current Kansas rates.
  • Currency: All prices listed are in USD.


Caring for Your Flowers

We want your blooms to stay fresh and bright for as long as possible! Here are a few quick tips:

  1. Trim the stems — Give each stem a fresh cut at an angle before placing in water.
  2. Change the water often — Every 2–3 days, refresh with clean water and wash the vase if needed.
  3. Keep them cool — Avoid direct sunlight, heat, or drafty spots (like right under an air vent).
